Our History and Mission

For over 125 years, the Lord has used Salem Baptist Church to proclaim the good news of Jesus through Biblical worldview instruction and promoting the growth of His people by building strong foundations of faith. Dobson and Surry County. In 2014, we as a church took a step of obedience to God's calling and were able to launch Salem Christian Academy. Since beginning with a preschool class of only a handful of children, SCA has grown and multiplied its ministry opportunities by providing biblically-based education with plans to further expand ministry and education options each year.

As a ministry of Salem Baptist Church, Salem Christian Academy is a vibrant Christ-centered school where the Gospel shapes our instruction, discipleship strengthens every learner, and the love of Christ sends our students and staff to serve their neighbors and the nations. SCA endeavors to fulfill its mission and realize its vision through the following academy core values: truth, excellence, evangelism, spiritual formation, Christian leadership, and Biblical worldview orientation. Our goal is that we would provide a rigorous education for our students and to prepare them to be world-changers for Jesus Christ.
